Dr. Igor Kreimerman
Igor Kreimerman is a senior lecturer at the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research combines the use of geoarchaeology, experimental archaeology and traditional archaeological methods for the study of architecture, formation processes – especially construction and destruction, and economy in the Bronze and Iron Age Levant. During his career, Igor has excavated at Khirbet Qeiyafa, Tel Lachish, Tell Beit Mirsim, and since 2022 he is co-director of the “Selz Foundation Hazor Excavations in Memory of Yigael Yadin.
Dr. Debora (Deby) Sandhaus
Debora (Deby) Sandhaus joined the excavations in 1990. She was an assistant to the field supervisor in 1991, and an area supervisor in the years 1992-1994 and 1997-2002. In 2007 she was in charge of find registration.
She is co-author of Hazor VI and Hazor VII, and is currently preparing the publication of the late Iron Age and Persian Period remains (Area M) at Hazor
Manuel (Manolo) Cimadevilla has been part of the Tel Hazor excavations since 1990, serving as an area supervisor in 1992–2001, 2004, and from 2022 onward. He is the expedition’s photographer and database administrator. He holds an M.A. in Semitic Studies (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 1992) and a B.A. in Archaeology (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 1997), and is interested in digital archaeology, database management, and photography.
